Mena Alexandra Suvari (born on the 13th of February, 1979) is an American model and actress. She is also a fashion designer model. Shortly after beginning her professional career as an actress Mena Alexandra Suvari starred as an actress in the 1990s on TV shows Boy Meets World and High Incident. The actress made her debut in film in the 1997 drama film Nowhere. With her performances in American Beauty - for which the actress was nominated to be awarded a BAFTA Award - and American Pie, which garnered more attention from the public as she stepped into more prominent roles. The year 2000 saw her starred in American Pie alongside American Pie co star Jason Biggs. Then, she played the lead part in Sugar & Spice (2000). Spun, an independent drama that aired in 2002, and the action movie Trauma (2004) are her two most recent appearances. She also appeared in the drama series on HBO Six Feet Under in 2004 she received a nomination as a member of the Best Cast of the 2005 Screen Actors Guild Awards. Suvari was also featured in the film version of Day of Dead and The Mysteries of Pittsburgh and in the film version of The Garden of Eden. Suvari is a model for Lancome cosmetics as well as print ads of Lancome Paris Adaptive and has been featured in several fashion blogs and magazines such as Vogue. Suvari is a strong supporter and advocate for The African Medical and Research Foundation an eminent charity that offers assistance to the African continent. She's an advocate to empower women, and is a part of charities that are combating breast cancer as well as an End Violence Against Women movement.
